STARS Cohorts

Overview

Available as a paid subscription benefit, STARS Cohorts provide hands-on training and support to guide participants through the reporting process, with the ultimate aim of earning a STARS Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum rating. AASHE currently offers two cohort programs.

STARS Support Cohort

Eligibility

Participating institutions with a paid subscription on Jan. 1 qualify for participation in that year’s cohort program.

Benefits

Cohort members will have special access to a full year of dedicated support, including:

  • Regular calls with other cohort members and AASHE staff.
  • Insights into data collection strategies and other aspects of reporting.
  • Access to a private, online community to brainstorm ideas, share resources and ask questions.

How to Join

Cohort recruitment occurs in November-December for the following year. The call for participation will be posted in the online STARS Community.

ACTS-STARS Cohort

Eligibility

Participation in the ACTS-STARS Cohort is reserved for paid subscribing institutions that are also members of Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability (ACTS).

Benefits

Ongoing participation in the ACTS-STARS cohort includes:

  • Quarterly calls with other cohort members and AASHE staff
  • Access to a private, online community
  • Individual calls for tailored support 
  • Discounts on STARS registration and renewal
  • Member-level access to STARS data displays, the STARS Benchmarking Tool, and AASHE resources in the Campus Sustainability Hub

How to Join

New institutions and users can be added at any time as long as the institution is a member of ACTS. Guest access is available for ACTS institutions that would like to learn more about STARS before signing up. ACTS institutions can email [email protected] to inquire about guest access to a call or be added to the cohort.
